  • Chromium-molybdenum steel gate valve

Chromium-Molybdenum Steel Gate Valve is a valve where the main components such as the valve body, bonnet, and gate are cast from chromium-molybdenum steels, such as ASTM A217 WC6, A217 WC9, A217 C12A, or ZG15CrMo, ZG20CrMoV, ZG15Cr1Mo1V, etc. It is suitable for media such as steam, petroleum, and related products with temperatures greater than 425°C and less than or equal to 570°C. This gate valve is designed for flange or welded connections.

For the flanged connection version of this valve, the distinguishing feature is that both ends of the valve body have flanged connections, with holes for mounting bolts on the flanges. The valve body and bonnet are typically connected with bolts. For working pressures not less than 10 MPa, the valve is designed with a pressure self-sealing structure. The bonnet houses the valve stem, which is connected to the gate at the lower end, and the valve body and gate form a sealing interface. The upper part of the valve stem is fitted with a valve stem nut, and a handwheel is installed on the outer side of the stem nut.

During installation, the valve is connected to the pipeline system using bolts and flanges. To shut off the pipeline media, the handwheel is rotated, which, through the valve stem, moves the gate to completely block the flow path.
